What is a prop and what is propping?

The definition of a prop

A "prop", or proposition player is a player hired from the poker room to help getting new games started and creating a good gaming atmosphere to make the players stay there. For their effort they get no other advantages then a good rakeback or rakeshare deal (also called rake rebate) or in some cases a pay per hand dealt deal. The idea comes from the early casinos and cardrooms. Now on the Internet this is even more important to have props to create a good environment for the customers.

To get a poker room alive it need customers, but to get customers, the poker room need games. No customers equals no games and no money, that is why props exists.

The prop have to follow some simple rules like not sitting on full tables and never talk trash in chat. And of course it is absolutey forbidden to mention anything about propping or promoting propping to other players in the chat when sitting at a table.

Isn't this cheating?

It is important to understand that being a prop is not equal to beeing a cheater in anyway whatsoever. The only difference between a proposition player and an ordinary customer is that the prop doesn't pay rake (at least not much) to the house. Having courage to starting up new tables and playing short handed which in turn will create more games and make the poker room earn more money is a good reason to offer the prop a good rakeback deal. Again, no games equals no money for the poker room.

Payments

You will get your payments directly into your player account. How often depends on our agreement with the poker room. No transactions will be made through Prop-Poker.com.

How much do you get paid?

As mentioned earlier the payment is very high. An example of this would be that a (winning) $0.5/$1 FL player will suddenly starting to win slightly more than a $2/$4 ordinary player when he decides to play as a prop. Our prop payments can also turn slight loser into quite big winners with the prop pay. Sounds interesting, doesn´t it?
